Crimenutely. I am gobsmacked at the number of people who, on the very few social networking sites I follow, seem to have given into despair.
I don’t believe our darkest days are ahead of us. I never have. People have been asking, “You’ve always said you’d tell us when it was time to panic. Is it time to panic?” Well, it’s never time to panic, folks. It’s never, ever going to be time to give up on our country. It’ll never be time to give up on the United States. It’ll never be time to give up on yourself. Trust me–Rush Limbaugh, December 23, 2020.
I come from a family of standers. Do you?
(PS: IMHO, Rush hit the nail on the head here, right at the end. Giving into despair is giving up on oneself. Nope. I. Will. Not. And neither should you.)
Apparently Jodi Shaw knows how to stand. Story here. GoFundMe page (until it’s taken down), here:
I love Sharpe!
And I can bloody well stand. I saw about Jodi last night. We need more like her, but we can also be more like her.
I love Sharpe too, both the TV series and the books. I took the DVDs from the TV series to England (like carrying coals to Newcastle, I know) when I went to visit my dad for the last time in 2007, and we watched them together. It’s a sweet memory.
